I wish, this is a custom clear bra. The only ones you can install yourself and are usually pretty shitty are the fitted pre cut ones.

I wouldn't get one those or try to install it myself, it would just be a waste of money.

I paid $650 for the front end covering the entire black insert of the good and about mid way tot he tires. Regular price is $850 but I'm a long time friend of the owner of the shop who did the work for me.

The venture shield never yellows out, has a lifetime warranty and can be polished.

Alex, is your insert wrapped or the exposed carbon fiber. If its the exposed, you may want to check for cracks. Mine and JMANs have started to crack and my car sat in a garage for 5 days because of bad weather in my area.

You know what Im not sure, I know it's not the exposed because I saw it in the car that got delivered right before mine. But it's not flat black either, it looks ashen grey.

I though there was only 2 options, exposed and flat black...

look at my post called "EXPOSED CF INSERTS OWNERS...." if you can see a weave pattern its the exposed one. if its a solid color black or grey then its a wrapped one.

I definitely have the wrapped Ashen grey, no issues so far.

Are you sure the Ashen is a wrap and not just painted that color?
Just curious where you heard it was wrapped.

Read a little more of the thread. I forget the guys name but he set me straight on how this application works

I think assumed it was wrapped because of the matte finish and because of the special care instructions that GM provided to make sure you don't discolor the insert.

That led me to believe it was a wrap.

The 2013 ZL1 hood inserts come with either exposed carbon or ashen grey gloss paint due to the waxing issue with the flat black versions on the 2012's. Very nice choice of color combo BTW. Looks AWESOME. I'm biased though. I have the exact same car coming except w/sunroof. Can't wait!!!!
