I have been paying close attention to this everytime I look at one. Last night at the Fbodygathering 13 I got a chance to look at almost every single color and noticed it on more than just IOM.
After carefully looking at the cars I noticed that all of them no mater what the color tend to do this at just the right angel. (standing at a 45 degree angle to the front of the car from a about 10 feet away. I concluded after looking at all of the cars especially the ones with pearl in it or even the metallic cars that you are going to see a mismatch do to an optical illusion because of the angle that the front valence sits at. All you are seeing is a difference in refraction not paint. |

On the plastic pieces, the metal flake is more to the top making it look lighter. I would guess that these pieces were painted with a smaller fluid tip. I don't assume that I am right but that would just be my guess.

![]() The fact of the matter like stated above is there are a ton of variables. Friend of mine who is a painter and works with one of the top premier paint shops in WA said all of the reasons above plus 1) base coat tints and thickness are the applied evenly or not at all. Also applies to top coats 2) consistency between paint batches 3) air pressure The different options on paints, tinting coats both base and clears, how they are applied can be vast. Long story short this is all theory and could be any one of the reason stated or just how the paint appears in the light. Just my 2 cents I have yet to see IOM in person and hope to soon. Also the color I ordered and will reserve my opinion till a later date.

Well...the rear bumpers seem to match OK. So do you think it might be a problem with the different suppliers who provide the painted front bumper parts to the manufacturer?

as in formica? LMAO!
I think I see the green in that Chameleon that everyone is talking about in the ABM... I guess IOM has a green hue as well interesting.
