The gentleman I spoke with said there will be a drip pan / rain guard or whatever it was he called it. we talked about it being removable Hopefully they can get that accomplished.

I am in the market for a new hood. Recently had the ZL1 front end put on my SS. Now I need a more aggressive hood to match. Couple of questions. It looks like the cowl lines match up with the SS bumper cowl lines. Correct? Second, is the cowl of the hood the same height as the stock SS cowl, or is it taller? Third, some clarification on a drip tray. Will this hood be functional in rain/snow, etc? Obviously it's not ideal for those weather conditions, but will there be a tray that will make it functional? Thanks in advance! Hood looks nice!

For those that might be interested in a race hood, the first one arrived today and I'll have pictures of it going on our SCCA car this weekend.

For those wanting a pin on style race hood.....here is a look at one of the first.







This hood sells for $1595, and is in pur carbon fiber. It will still retain a hood hinge assembly, but should not be used with the gas strut, and will require hood pins at the front to secure it. There is no place for the latch assembly or under hood liner.

Weight is less than 7 lbs total

90% glass construction with a show like carbon top finish.

I see no reason why it would not clear a maggie on the car.
