They were 160.00 and 100.00 labor but I had a coupon from my oil change book 20% off So I paid 225.00 Install. The gap I was talking about is very small were it curves down .

Jacks not needed

You can actually drill through this with a hand held drill bit holder or use a counter sink set,... No don't counter sink it, but the holder that you can flip around in the drill will work without having to jack the car up.

If you want to upgrade from the splash guards to the GM ground effects do you have to do more drilling? Or can you use the existing holes to attach the ground effects?

I had the GM splash guards installed before I picked up my 2013 2LT/RS CRT today - the 2011 I owned without them picked up alot of chips around the gills. They look really good, and will be well worth the money

Waiting on mine to come in. Received one set already, but they sent the wrong color. Ordered gloss black and got blue. What ever.

Splash guard tip

When I installed mine, I was having some clear bra work done at the same time. So I had the clear bra installer, install 4 strips of clear bra where the splash guard "connect" to the body of the car. That way, if i decide to take them off for whatever reason, there won't be any rub/wear/scratch marks on the body. Any decent vinly product should work as a barrier. I also had the gills clear bra'd.

I love my quarter flares! I got them in the same color as my stripes (IOM) for a little extra "pop" n my Summit White SS and get lots of compliments on them.

I installed mine in 1.5 hours. I didnt jack the car or take off the wheels. I bought a 90 degree angle adapter for my drill for $20 at Home Depot.

Do these eliminate the chipping on the gill area? Since repainting costs too much I'm just going to have the local lettering company make me two high gloss black vinyl protectors for the gill area to cover up all my chips. He did something similar for my boss for free since he gets all of his lettering done there so I'll see if I can get something done for cheap.

Nope, still will chip. The gills stick out quite a bit. I had mine clear vinyl'd as well.

Hmmm I had them on my Rally yellow 2010 and never got a chip in the gill area. It was one of the first things I ordered for our 2012 also.
