My V6 that I had for 3 years never saw any fuel better than what was recommended...87 Octane....it's not a race car.
Now my SS, I havent put gas in it yet.

I run 87 in mine, Chevron with techron and nothing else. I tried premium for a while just got blacked up tailpipes for the effort.

91 in my V6, I like cleaning the black off the pipes. My baby gets top shelf, not beer in a can.

Gas is gas today. I just choose the gas station that has a decent price and is convenient at the time. 90% of my fill-ups come from AAFES gas (military). I've done this since 2004 and never had an issue. One thing is certain though...I always get premium.

V6 and I fill with regular. No reason to burn premium. No improvement in gas mileage or response. You will, however notice a smell. And you will know you are burning money. When running premium, in my experience, the V6 ran rich and smelt like it. That and made me clean the exhaust tips more.

Highest octane available. Around here that means 93
And just like my last car, which GM said "premium fuel" for, the dealership filled the damn thing with regular for me before I got it because well, they know everything...actually it's because they are cheap and don't care
