I ordered May 18-22 (made order on the 18th paid $1,000) so basically on the 22 and my dealer said 2-3 months, but today he is suppose to send my order to GM and also it doesn't look like my dealer is following the order codes at all ... I don't even have an order form ... He just has the buildsite print out of my Camaro and what I want written on a paper and that's it ... I don't even have a order number and all I have is a cash recipt saying I have a $1,000 cash deposit for a 2010 Camaro ... But is my Reference # my order number?

I ordered on May 8th and was told August was the latest possible I would get it. Checking my order status today so hopefully I'll be joining the 3000 club.

You should have an Alpha-numeric six digit order number provided at time of order. Get this number ASAP from ypur dealer if you dont have it yet.

I ordered mine March 6 and was told nothing about the build date, they told me it all depends on when GM picks up the order, so I am in waiting..........

First: a dealer can take all the orders they wish - but GM will only accept so many per week, per month, per quarter from each dealer. how many allocations each dealer gets is determined by GM, most likely based the dealers past sales. (Dealers who sell lots of cars and make GM more money are going to get preferred treatment. Standard business pratice, reward your money makers / don't bite the hand that feeds you.)

Second: the production process is most likely set up to take any advantage of any "speed tips". if V8s and V6s are different enough in assembly and workers switching for every unit down the line, then only make one kind at a time for a week or two. In the long run you increase production numbers. We just don't know what or how many catagories of production runs they have.

Third: constraints. a car won't get scheduled at all if the plant knows that they lack a part. Like the Hurst shifter some people asked for. Stripes, are another.

Fourth: QA. they can make it and then find something wrong with it, then they have to fix it. For that kind of money, it better not be a POS.

Soooo, the "estimated" delivery date the dealer gives you and the next guy may be quite different.

There are too many variables, except this; When your dealer calls to say "it's here", your gonna wanna freak! That I guarentee.

Well......Ordered May 8th and just found out that I'm at 2000 now. Hopefully I go to 3000 just as quick.

If it went in you should have gotten a letter code"GHYJGH" something like that. I had mine the day it was ordered. I know my order has been accepted as well, but I going to get the updated status this week, if like other have said mine should be 3000 by now I ordered may 5th. I to find it funny that mine is now at the same status as people who ordered back in oct. One thing for pre-order people is you should have checked to see how high on the depth chart they were before ordering there. Either way if you have an order in by now it should be here by end of summer.

I ordered a 2SS RS 6M in CGM with IO on 5/6 and was given the date of 7/6 for delivery. My order was the last of my dealer's allocation. I will be very surprised if the car arrives anytime in July. August is fine with me. Anything past early September and I will start to feel the stress and resentment, but whatever. If there are kinks to work out, I'd rather they get worked out. If for some reason I don't have the car by late September or early October, I might cancel my order and sit the winter out, just in case the 2011s come with upgraded features or new colors.

But I want the car I ordered and I hope it arrives by mid summer.

Ordered March 31. Have been at 3000 for a month now. Hopefully will start moving along with all the other V6 M6. Was told June delivery when I ordered. We shall see...
