Lay in the seat...and then you can conveniently used the seat belt to hold your head up. It's like a hammock for your head. Very comfortable. I sleep like a baby

I hear you, but some of the hotels available are pretty bad at times. Especially if you are very, very tired and it is not safe to drive. Sometimes I had to pull a double and almost triple shift at work. It was good to have someplace familiar to sleep. I have never had to sleep in the Camaro. I have had to sleep in my Chrysler. Just put the seat all the way down and slept. |

Seriously dude, if you are going long distance hiking, get a room. You will appreciate the convenience of a nice hot shower after sweating your ass off all day. And then your car won't smell like a dead skunk either... Lol |

I've done it multiple times. When I first got my camaro I was working night shift and going to school 2 days a week, well on the days I had school the only place I could sleep was in my car. School was 90miles from home, work was right in the middle, so after I finished my classes I'd go back to work and sleep in the parking deck. Passenger seat is probably the most comfortable(for me at least). Drivers seat ya got the steering wheel in your lap, and I did actually try folding down the back seat and sleeping halfway in the trunk a couple times(to escape the daylight and try to sleep better). Its kinda cramped and a pain to get in and get comfortable. The back of the back seat doesn't line up exactly with the trunk and there's a gap between them. and if you're claustrophobic by any means it def won't work, I happened to have a small pillow in my trunk, and but I couldn't use it because then my head was jammed into the trunk lid. Once I found a weird sort of comfortable position I slept great, but I'd def say the passenger seat is your best bet if you're gonna sleep in the car.

Get a comforter or thick blanket. Pull the tab to bring down the back seats to get access to the trunk. Lay in that tunnel. The back of the back seats will act as a head rest. Not good if you're kinda clostophobic and if someone were to break in your car while you sleep.

I've slept in a '75 Camaro I owned back in the day, when I was on a very tight budget.
I use hotel rooms these days.

Also if you are going to sleep in your car be careful to choose the right location. You don't want someone to sneak up on you and car jack you or worse. Once I was so tired I found what I thought was a good spot near a Denny's. Well lit and safe. However about an hour into my sleep, the police came and tapped on the window, woke me up and let me know that I did the right thing by pulling over, but that the area really wasn't safe. They encouraged me to go somewhere else. They said that there was some gang activity in recent weeks and people had been hurt. One would not know it to look at it. There was no indications. Anyway, the one hour nap was all I needed and I drove the remaining two hours to get home. I consider myself lucky. |

I do it often since I work a 7pm-7am shift. I tend to like the passenger seat over the driver's seat for a bit more room. The seats don't lay back as far as I'd like though.
At first I attempted laying the back seat down and laying across it with my feet in the trunk, but there's a hump between the two. :( |

Everytime I go to an amusement park or something, on the way back all my friends fall asleep in the back and they never complain about anything
