Mine is stock and I have warped the rotors four times with just long road trips. No hard braking! Still fighting GM on this!

If it's the same set of rotors, as has been noted, replace and move on. If it's multiple sets of rotors, it's your driving.

What? GM is yelling void warranty on something that in reality has nothing to do with the Mod? on a preexisting issue?

Next they will be saying the air bag isnt covered under warranty cause theres a tune on the car, even though the car has been in the shop twice for the same issue predating the tune, and simply states "who knows what that foriegn software does" ...oh wait ya they already did that to a friend of mine.........

GM warranties are the biggest scam.....you might as well buy aftermarcket rotors, you arent taking them to court over this and they know it.

another win for an uncaring car company.......

pm the GM customer service rep on here. and they will help you out. I say they should be replaced under warranty and they can say your cam did something or couldve done something to your rotors, let alone you had the issue multiple times BEFORE your cam. I CALL BLUFF! tell them you have a case# with GM and see how quickly they will jump to fix it then

Brake rotors are fairly cheap, so I'd say just buy a new (better) set. Also, while every company is a little different, brakes and brake rotors are often considered a normal wear item and not part of the warranty. What does the Camaro's warranty book specifically say about brake rotors?

Brake rotors and pads are wear & tear items and will usually only be covered within the 1st year or 12,000 miles, unless there is a defect in manufactuering

Do you currently have a case that I can look into for you to see if this is being handled appropriately? Please let us know!

I replaced my front rotors at about 20,000 miles. And the pads. Had a little pulsation.I don't drive my car hard at all, I baby it mostly, but cutting rotors only makes the more vulnerable to warping. I just stuck a new set on with new pads, and chalk it up to the cost of wanting things perfect. Some of this stuff you just have to chalk up to car ownership. Stop and go traffic, highway driving, summer temps all play a role obviously.

Each time you shaved the rotors the thinner surface heated faster... I never let them turn my rotors.....waste of time and money.
