After the changes to the 2012, and the touch screen for 2013, I'd be suprised to see more interior changes. I have my doubts....

....But to that I say...

I think you will soon see a Z28 offered.(2015 1/2-2016) It also will depend on who wins the Presidency on the size of the motors available in my opinion.

In the first generation Camaro they did one body style 2 years (1967-68), then a facelift and body line change which only lasted 1 year (1969) and the second generation started. Never know what GM has up their sleeves.

No matter who is in office, you'll see the new 5.5L V8 offered -fact!
Cost, gas guzzler tax, etc... as it stands now, shouldn't effect it. You'll need congress to pass some laws (good luck) for GM to pivot on a dime at this point.

I'd bet that the 6th gen Camaro dominates the Mustang again.

You would lose that bet.

Pretty damn sure that GM has repeatedly reported that there will only be 2 displacement sizes for the new GenV engine and they are 5.3L and 6.2L..the 5.5 doesn't exist for regular production purposes!

The world seemed to move a lot faster back in 67-69. Think about how much things changed in less than a decade. You went from "Leave it to Beaver" mainstream to Woodstock.....from the Beatles with a suit and tie to Let it Be, all within 6yrs. Now you have Pearl Jam stuck in the grunge, never to exit.

There are a number of factors that will decide:

Marketing, how well the present product is lining up in regards to sales with their target market and the competition's offerings and how that affects sales.

Management's decisions on the above along with all the other factors that affect them: plant capacity, need for new equipment, govt. mandating new CAFE and safety standards, etc.

The time-span for a car, from design to production rollout is quite long, so they are already at work on it. Wasn't the concept Gen5 Camaro at the 2006 Autoshow, which was only 4yrs after the end of the Gen4 and supposedly all Camaros. That proved true for the Firebird, which begs the question, was there a proto Firebird in 2006?... but I digress.

This is my non-educated hunch: no Gen6 until after the 50th anniversary car, akin to the Vette's new iteration after this year's 60th anniversary. The Gen5 Camaro has been a smash hit, and the 50th yr car will add to it, without a new Gen6 detracting from it.

That's my take on it and I am sticking to it.

The 5.5l is what Corvette Racing is running in the C6Rs this year and it has everyone messed up. They are basically using those engines to test the Gen V architecture in an extreme environment but that does not mean that there is going to be a 5.5l in regular production. They are using that displacement because that is the maximum allowed in the GT class. That being said, you never know. GM seems to change their minds on these sorts of things a lot.

I'm my opinion, I think it is very rare that we'll see a 5th gen Z/28. No matter who wins the presidency.
