Search Google for vacuum caps and you'll find them. I'd rather have something that I'm not going to have to replace in a year though.

So how does this modification work out using the oil breather instead of the cold air intake for the fresh air supply?

The oil cap breather does not perform the same task as the intake. You can use the oil breather without an aftermarket intake but it is not a performance upgrade.

I believe the vinyl vacuum caps last much longer than normal rubber caps. I just replaced my cracked out rubber ones with vinyl, so far so good. I believe the size was 3/8".
