Really mine is around 20k right now and my whole pump was just gone no leak though, picked it up today from the dealership, my steering feels a little different. They questioned me if there was any intake system in the vehicle, the k&n intake turned my engine light on. since I changed it back OEM intake was kind of loose. I denied everything.

You should be ok with mods. I have a CAI and DT shorty headers, and have had the tranny second gear rebuilt once and the tranny replaced with both on the car. No issues from a warranty issue, they just noted on the paperwork.

I've noticed my steering having more and more (vibration) when the car is sitting still and turnin the wheel. I took it into the stealership and they could not find anything wrong. They said they compared it to another Camaro and it was the same. I then compared it to a 2011 with the 18" wheels and it felt "similar" but not as bad as mine... So I hope it's not my power steering pump going bad. Thanks for this thread. They should recall the cars if this is a re-occuring issue...

Definitely I agree, if anyone finds similar problem please share story, just very interested and not entirely sure how long this power steering pump is going to last me.

When you have the steering wheel at full tilt, the power steering pump keeps pumping and heats up very quickly and can lead to failure. I feel it's safe to say that caused the problem. Usually, this happens when people do donuts at full tilt but can happen from just a u turn if the pump itself is worn out. Hope you resolve the problem bud,

Regards,
Matt
