That'd be a good thing...I know early on the V8 models held a 60 - 40 split over the V6 models.

I'm glad the V6 models are selling, but I'm really, really glad to see the V8 models sell.

Allow me to explain: The more V8 models that sell, the more inspiration there is for the V8 to stay around in this and other sports cars. I'd love to see great sales for the SS/ZL1, 5.0/GT500 Mustangs, and the R/T and SRT Challengers. Unfortunately, I fear Dodge has priced themselves right out of the market this go-round.

I asked my dealer this question and he told me they sell about 3 V6's to every one V8 because of fuel economy.

At my work there is exactly a 6 to1 ratio of V8's to V6's. I hope to help the V6 population in a couple of weeks . On the road I see about the same amount of V8 to 6's though.

I rarely see v8's. I went to the local dealer this summer and asked to see the v8 Camaro's, they had two out of what looked like 20 and i bought one. Probably explains why i don't see many.

A good question would be whats the build ratio? I'm guessing its not 50/50.

Build ratio would help to explain why we see more V6's at the dealer than V8's.

v6 vs v8's on the road is proportional to build ratio.

Usually I see about a 5 (V6) to 1 (V8) Ratio.

Back in 2010 I used to see a lot more V8 to V6. Lately it seems to change. Overall I see a lot more Camaros in general!
Now more V6 maybe because it is available in more models?

How do you figure that out? There are many unknown variables which can change the outcome of production ratio to driving ratio. For example some could still be on the dealer lot, some could be in transport or awaiting transport, or also ome could have been crashed. All of these can lower the ratio of V6 to V8s on the road.

But back to the op's question. For me it is about even Till I pass my dealer ship every morning They have like a 5:1 ratio of V6 over V8 Camaros. Such all are usually automatic except for e occasional SS or 1LS.

Every time I see another Camaro on the road, odds are it's a V6. I have seen other SS's, just way more sixers.
