Never had that feeling. But I've been told by others that it feels claustrophobic at times.

I'm 6'2" and am comfortable. I WAS 6'6", and it was a problem, but there's a doctor is SoCal who does neckectomies, so I had four inches taken out. It was worth it to me... WAY better option than giving up my Camaro.

After years of flying in Boeing aircraft with crew compartments designed as an after-thought, these cars are spacious. At least there's a window to look out of!

I'm 5'8" and my seat is all the way back and down... I don't understand how you tall people fit in this car so I can totally see how you feel claustrophobic.

I have just the opposite issue. Whe I go from the camaro to my wife's equinox i feel like i am too exposed and would fly through the windshield if I hit the brakes too hard.
The feeling is wierd like being in a glass bubble or something similar. |

After owning two 4th Gen. T/A's ('97 T/A and '02 Firehawk), both of which had t-tops, not to mention huge glass area compared to the 5th Gen., I was definitely feeling claustrophobic for the first few weeks in the Camaro. Thankfully that claustrophobic feeling is long gone now
A sunroof might give you a greater sense of openness, but you'll actually have about 1-1.5" less headroom.

6'3"....sunroof was almost the reason I didn't buy one...head rubbed on the track...lol...no sunroof, no problem...If you are too tall, a sunroof makes for less headroom....

I'm about 5'-11", and have never felt claustrophobic in my Camaro.
I also love the snug fit. I have the seat as low as possible, and slightly reclined, for plenty of headroom. I could drive all day in it, and had a blast doing the 9 hour drive to Camaro5fest III. Although, recently spending an hour in an enclosed MRI will test you! |

I feel very cozy in mine. All black interior with dark tint. When I ride in something with normal sized windows and no tint I feel really exposed, like a vampire stuck out in day light.

I remember I test drove one with a sunroof and my head rubbed the frame. I think it's kind of funny if you have a petite women in the passenger seat they kind of look like a child and complain about not being able to see out well.

Thanks for all the great replies.
I am happy to see that I am not alone. An aftermarket sunroof would not be an option for me since I want to leave the car 100% stock. Trading it in for a convertible is not a bad idea, I just wish it would have a retractable hardtop. Not a big fan of the softtop since it will become a maintenance item down the road. Not sure if I would ever buy a Corvette where there is even less leg room for me:( Besides the Camaro is way more sexier car imho. Thanks again for your replies. Yellowrs |

Try driving or riding in my wife's Miata!
I don't feel that way at all in my Camaro. I'm a short guy, so the interior actually feels pretty spacious to me. Now if I was in the back seat, that might be different... |
