Wow that's awesome! I'm going to get my registration and plates tomorrow and an inspection during my lunch break at some point this week.

Haha, nice solution. If the corvettes can have a nice solution for the front plate so can the camaro.

Once you get the sticker just take it off. Who cares if you get a ticket once every 5 years when some cop is bored.

These stickers are common back east and date back to the early 1900's when they wanted to make sure that all cars had lights and basic stuff like that. It is a very outdated practice. You don't see stickers required in any of the western states because during the 1900's we still had horses. Not sure why these states don't discontinue this outdated practice but my guess is that because it gives some folks jobs and revenue for the state it is likely to never go away.

And to be honest.....I've grown accustomed to and love using industrial strength Velcro for more and more applications and this would also work in this situation!

i recently bought a new car in NY. I payed tax title etc at the DMV in NJ. They gave me a piece of paper which I had to show at the inspection station. I just parked outside, showed them that piece of paper and a minute later the guy came back with a "new car" inspection sticker, good for four years. No problem at all.

i think it's good. that way they can make sure that the car is secure enough to be on the road.

a lot of you guys are lucky. here in hawaii we are required to have the front plate and a new safety inspection every year. the safety inspection sticker is roughly 2"H x 4"L and must be visible from behind on the right side of the rear bumper

When you got your car in PA, what did you need to get registration in NJ? I am waiting for GM to send me the title so I can take it...did you need the title or did the PA dealership give you what you needed?

I had a temp license to drive, but it expires this weekend. I contacted my dealer who told me GM was processing the title and putting down my bank as the lien holder, and told him to check in with GM and see what's taking so long.

Umm...can someone tell me why no one wants to drill holes if theres gonna be a license plate there all the time??? I mean why dont you just keep the thing in the garage for forty years then sell it for tons of profit. Now what fun would that be?

No one wants the holes drilled in the bumper, and the plate takes away from the front of the car. something that just sticks out from the rest of it. Its not that no one wants to drive the car it that they dont like the way it makes the front end look.

Huh...my dad really want's to keep his in the garage...

I am not drilling, taping, adhering any plate to my car. I'll get pulled over, flash a smile, drop some charm and I should be OK

If you had an option to either drill holes in the front end or just attach a bracket, not damaging anything....I would take the bracket.

By the way I took the Front plate off this morning. The 3m Double sided tape is very strong. I could have left it on there for good if I wanted to. It took a while to get it off and the plate is a little bent, but no problems with the paint. Now I'm just gonna wait for someone to make a bracket. I think Camaropete's Idea is the best.
