I don't like the Pirelli P-Zero's at all and definitely recommend you toss them. The lowest temp. I used them in was 36 degrees and they handled the road just fine but they do not hold air consistently, I had the valve stems changed on all 4 tires by my dealership and they still fluctuated air pressure every day. They were below average in the rain, even light rain, and the car does them more justice than the other way around and I also don't like how easily they break down.

Your Camaro deserves a better class of tire and there are some great recommendations in this thread. I had Nitto Invo's installed a few days ago and am surprised at the difference they make. You can tell right away but I obviously need to put more miles on them before they earn a Mutant Seal of Approval!

General G-Max, Good Year Eagle, and Mickey Thompson are the ones my friends that drive hard year round rave about.

After all, some of you on here are experts, and have been driving your Camaros a lot longer than me.
im on the same boat as you, but alot of member here have told me that it shouls be ok as long as we take it easy. it's going to be a long winter.

I would say you are playing with fire. I would highly recomend winter or at the very least all season tires. If your temps drop below freezing and you get any snow or black ice you could be in for a not so fun drive. Not worth the risk. 2yrs ago my camaro would not even move in nothing more than a sugar coating of snow in my drive way.

To be fair - no tire is going to save you from black ice!

I'm going on my thid winter with the Camaro and have not problems in cold dry weather. That said, I switch to my winter wheel/tire combo around Thanksgiving. Since my car is a daily driver I wouldn't want to get caught out in snow or ice with the P-Zeros. However the Pirelli Scorpion Ice/Snow tires does just fine...

30 and below you're not going to have any traction. Plus you could damage the tires. Park it or get some scorpion Ice and snow for winter weather.

^^ This.

I also use the GMax tires. They are great. I drove with them all last winter without any issues. The deepest snow I went through was about 3.25" consistently. Again zero issues. These tires saw temperatures of -17* and maintained good traction. I highly recommend.

I drove with my Pzeros in 28* F weather with no problems. However, that was on dry pavement. It's a different story with snow on the ground. I found that out last week when we received a freak snowstorm in my area. Only got 3-4 inches on the roads and that did it for me. Luckily I have my snow tires on now.

So glad I live in central TX

But I have had issues with my P-Zeroes not holding tire pressure ever since it stopped being 90+ degrees.

I think it's apalling that a car like our Camaros is sold in countries where there are prolonged periods of cold weather, without having tyres capable of being safe in all conditions. Obviously in freezing temperatures you have to drive according to the conditions, and watch out for ice, and even in torrential rain you back off a bit. However on a dry road at 45 F I would expect my car to handle OK. We are here discussing this as enthusiasts, but there must be hundreds of thousands of regular non forum drivers out there, not realising they are driving a potential death trap.

Good Point. I've educated a few Camaro owners on this and they had no clue. I didnt know until after I bought mine either and read it on here. I think it should be an option to have the pzeros or all season tires.

As far as the original question. I have driven mine in temps as low as 17*. Its like being on ice. You have to take off very slow, corner slow, its ridicilous and not even worth taking the car out in temps like that. I drove home from a car show last nite and the temp was in the 30s and it was slippery. Sucks :( Mines not a dd so its not an issue but still sad you cant drive it on cold, dry days.

Don't put yourself and others on the road in danger. Lose the P-zeros for the winter.

I looked at those today on tirerack.com. Did you go with 245/50-19"? I'm thinking of these as my replacement tires when I need some here soon. I've been thinking of going with 255/50-19" size though.
