Bandit, let me know if they're clearcoated over the polished finish or if its bare aluminum! I'm seriously considering pulling the trigger on these wheels!

I'm tired of dealing with paint over wheels whether its color paint or clearcoat 'cause it always ends up flaking or peeling off. I wouldn't mind if these are bare aluminum at all! Besides, there is some kind of charm to a bare aluminum rim that is lightly faded.

Hey I'm sorry I forgot to post the answer to this !

I have emailed the folks at Cragar several times in the last few days and they are straight polished Aluminum....no clear.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to email them either....they always answer pretty quick !

I've had several polished wheels over the years from American Racing and Centerline and always had great luck keeping them shiny and looking almost chrome like....here's hope these are polished that good !

So they're straight polished aluminum? Shit, I wouldn't have to worry about peeling paint anymore and people saying my car has Mustang rims on it! I'd much rather polish them up once a month than have to deal with trading them in for warranty due to peeling clearcoat, especially since polishing should take only 20 minutes with a mother's powerball. I might end up pulling the trigger on these wheels if I can sell my Torq Thrusts for a good price.

How much did they come to for you in the end? Was shipping free?

BTW, dude. Excellent taste in cars. I used to have a 1978 Trans Am SE clone with a hardtop. (Always been more of a fan of Y81's myself.) It's from the funds that I sold that car that I built up the down payment for my Camaro. Sure do miss being into the Trans Am hobby. Much nicer people... oh well, someday I'll have a 2nd gen T/A again!

You got it.....If the polish is as high quality as the wheels I've gotten in the past I think they could go 3-4 months without polishing and still look great !

I got mine from Discount Tire...but they did match Summit Racings price...It was right under $1,000 for them mounted balanced and out the door.

I do love this Trans Am....I've had it since 1992 ...I restored it back then and have enjoyed ever minute of owning it

To me our Camaros are as close to getting a old Trans Am (new) as you can get today.....lots of personality

Some polished wheels I've had in the past that held up extremely good and looked like Chrome after several years !

If these Cragars hold up this good and look this shiny....I'll be very happy !

There was a whole building dedicated to wheels and tires, it was definitely awsome to see. So many manufacturers with expensive wheels....
