If it weren't for Sirius/XM I'd go crazy.....Have you listened to FM radio? It BLOWS!!!!! Where else can you find 100s of channels of different music, with no commercial.

You can always cancel it if you don't like it and listen to Brittany Spears 100 times a day

Never give them your card #, they did the same to me years ago, billed for a years sub twice in the same week, when I called instead of just refunding one of the charges they tried to just have me be prepaid for 2 years. It took 5 phone calls to get my money back as well as a call to the NY attorney generals office. Love the service, but the customer service sucks. Get on invoice billing.

I have had XM service off and on since 2006 and I have never gotten phone calls or been harassed about canceling my service. Right now I have a years worth free on my Vue, because they screwed up my bill. I just called and complained and they gave me 12 months free. I just let it expire on the Camaro after the free 3 months. Still no phone calls from them.

+1 I hate regular radio with a million and 1 commercials. I just got 6 months for less than $30.00 i'm sure they have even better deals. $5.00 a month is 100 times better than crappy FM. I have Pandora on my phone and one day i will get the connectivity device to listen to my phone thru the radio but i'm fine with XM for now.

The phone service is good, but really expensive through Verizon, and your existing Verizon minutes won't work with it.

They screwed me over so bad that now I hate them. I cancelled the service and at some point they decided to turn it back on but never told me. I don't look at the Visa bill so I didn't know they were billing me and my wife thought I had ordered it on another car. I went right out to my car and the only channel I could get was 1 the information channel. I called and demanded a credit and told them the service was never activated in my car. The guy said wait 2 minutes and then try again, sure enough I now had XM.

They refused to credit me anything even though I didn't know they turned the service on, I never even tried tuning to XM and it wasn't even turned on to my car! Talk about a f'in ripoff.

I have gotten emails and phone calls from them and I take every opportunity to tell them what I thnk of them. I chewed the last girl out that called me and when I got done she asked me if I would subscribe if they cut the price in half.....WTF did she even heard a word I said?

They are nothing but crooks in my opinion.

That's annoying. I feel like you did the right thing though, tell them what you want and they'll give it to you. All these companies want happy customers so just make it so you get your way!

They are so god damn annoying. I get 2 calls a day from those guys. I've told them I've sold my Camaro like 10 times. They still won't take me off their list.

I wish I could believe that, but my experience with various other outside parties that cold-call me strongly indicates otherwise.

Those callers are being paid to make sales, same as any door-to-door person trying to sell you on free estimates on roofing, siding, or any other sort of home improvement. They're all pretty much hard-wired to not take "no" for an answer.

I think that is down right funny, I have had the OnStar GPS drop out driving thru Orange County CA around Disneyland and not pick back up until I was 30 miles south well past Irvine and almost into San Diego County.

But my Android phones GPS had no issues at all. Then when I tried to call OnStar I was told by the automated response that I was out of the OnStar service area, but I was able to use my cell phone to call them.

When I did call them and explained my OnStar had dropped out in the middle of a highly populated urban area of Southern California, I was told they were unable to get a response from my vehicle and I should go to a dealer. 30 miles later it kicked back in and worked, and it failed in the exact same area on my return trip..

I'll stick with my phone GPS..

Pandora, Google Play, Spotify, Rdio, MOG, Slacker, Rhapsody, ITunes in the Cloud,

to name but a few:

http://www.nbcnews.com/technology/ga...ick-one-120960

and FYI except for the news and sports, the music programming on all of these is exactly the same as the music programming on XM..

on Pandora if you put in BLUE COLLAR COMEDY as the station, you will here the exact same comedy acts as XM, if you put in 80s, 90s, or whatever genre/channel name from XM into Pandora, you will stream exactly the same content.

and if you time it right you will stream the same content at the same time, I've done it.. XM playing the exact same song as Pandora on the same genre channel.

Pandora Unlimted = $40 a year, no commercials, no phone calls, you pick your own music.

XM = Hundreds a year, commercials advertising XM on most channels, and commercials on a lot of channels, lots of phone calls, and you are stuck listening to the channels they give you.

--

gee which is the better option?

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with one of our advisors. We do encourage the purchase of Hands Free Calling minutes in case you are in an emergency situation and your cell phone isn't working or left elsewhere. We do not encourage our advisors to make the hands free calling minutes as a mandatory item. It is a service we offer as an optional convenience. This seems like a great opportunity to improve our customer interactions. If you could send me a message with your account number and when you received that call, I would like to look into it.
