It's on the other side of the 401 highway north from the plant and the 401 is not shut down. They don't say what was on all the railroad cars yet.

Judging from the Helicopter video - there were a few Auto Hauler cars in the rear of the train. They are the ones that are in the shape of a "W" in the back.

I covered a story like this a few years ago in Florida

I am so glad, that there are no injuries or worse being reported. That is the prime concern.

Having been there professionally, the autos can be replaced, Lives can't!

in looking at the images on-line - there were a lot of car haulers on that train...but it looks like a lot of them were behind the spot were the fire was. Hope nobody was hurt!

Yes. The trains that go to the plant run on the tracks that are south of the 401. That train is on the tracks north of the 401.

They have 2 lines right? I remember Toyota demanded 2 rail lines instead of one just in case something like this would happen near the Tundra plant in SA. Well.. they not moving many now but they had visions of endless trucks flowing out.

Come on. It's fine. Just a tiny little train derailment. I just went by there and snapped a picture to put everyone at ease...
