The A pillar thing sucks.
But it's realitively minor, I was intrested in buying a 2009 G37S ($42k) until I joined their forums and found the drivers side A pillar where it connects to the top of the windshield has a recurring problem, the welded joint cracks after being on the road for a short time. The fix is taking apart the interior of the car and re-welding. This fix seems to last longer for some than others, it produces a cracking / popping sound when the driver hits a bump or the body gets flexed. So I view this Camaro problem as very minor.

Relax!!!!
My 2SS came with the Driver's side a pillar cover popped loose.
The dealer ordered a replacement clip, which has been RE-DESIGNED, and replaced it.
It took only 2 days to get the part.
Unfortunately, the over reaction is typical for this site.

Are you guys accelerating too quickly that you are leaving the windshield pillars in place?

Yes, but you're lucky enough that your car has already arrived at the dealership.
Little tiny "quick fixes" can take weeks if GM does the fix themselves in QC.

The same exact thing was said about the batter fix "its a quick fix." Then some guys waited 30+ days to get this "quick fix.".

So lets just see how this plays out. And as mentioned there's no reason to panic, but it is a concern if it causes cars to go into a QC holds until they can be fixed.

Picked my car up late last week, and I'm noticing the same problem. Plan to talk to the dealer this week about it. I do agree that after having spent so much money, I'd like to think things like this wouldn't happen. But, if its just little stuff like this that I have to deal with on a first year car, I'll be extremely happy.

Hum sunroof or without?

If headroom changes for sunroof do the piller cover sizes have to change? And if so did normal roof in some cases get fitted with shorter sunroof piller covers?

it seems the covers are the correct size but the stud that fits in the hole is to small .need a bigger stud or a smaller hole .to me .or some chewing gum . or a book of matches to wedge in between windshield and cover .
