Well I was just messing around with the mom vs. dirt road thing...no need to get hostile about it..

Actually mom and I talk every day just about and we do see each other 2-3 times a week. She's extremely active for 68. lol

We were even joking the other day about how her dirt road had cost me many additional washes on both Camaro's. I still have a 92 RS that sits at her place to this day. Step dad drives it when he goes bowling. lol

I hate driving down dirt roads in any car. A truck, sure, just not a car. In high school I'd have to drive down a dirt road covered in rocks to get to the parking lots. Sure enough, a year after I graduated the school paved the roads... bastards.

I live on a gravel road, and I literally drive 2-3 mph on it to get home. Going around any mud, dirt, or clay spots

I have to drive and park on a dirt road every day at work and I have a black SS! I just wash it every couple of days. Mom is more important than getting your car dirty. The boyfriend of one of the girls that works for me will not drive his Corvette up our road, about 1/4 mile, to pick her up for fear of getting his car dirty and makes her walk to the paved road to meet him. I would dump his sorry ass!

Tell step dad to park where gravel begins.

You drive your Camaro and park it before dirt road starts. Hop into the older RS and drive to mom. Drive back in older car park it at gravel and leave in shiny Camaro.

Tell step dad this will be good warm up before and after bowling!

Talking

Oh Dude! Please! You are worried about a little dirt on your Camaro? and of all places your moms house?
I live out on a dirt road (3/4 mile road to be exact) it is full of ruts and not the smoothest dirt road, it is even made of that red Georgia clay, that dust gets all over my car.
I have been driving my car on this road for a year now and have managed just fine, guess what?....it doesn't hurt the precious Camaro!
Folks thought I was crazy for buying a Camaro living out here like I do, its what I wanted.....so I got it, AND I got a dark paint job on top of that(Red dust really shows on this paint job)

My words exactly!

Uuhhhhh OK, Whatever......I use my California duster for over the last ten years, I have NEVER seen swirl marks in my paint job, the Duster is the ONLY thing I have discovered that actually works without scratching my clear coat.......one thing I have learned that really scratches my clear coat is when I back my car up into one of the posts in my car port which I did a few weeks ago......Doh!
Anyhow, these California Dusters I highly recommend, just make sure you keep them shook out as you use them, I will do a pass or two and shake it out, then repeat until I am done getting all the dust off my car. This Duster amazes me at what it can actually remove off the car.
