Looks great man.. Very ZL1 distinctive feature! I added the stripe to mine also. They painted the shark fin to match the stripe because the silver fin sticking out from the stripe looked wrong...

If the install is done right, this tape is not going anywhere. Mine has a perfect bond, no bubbles, smooth and tight..

Sam - if you don't mind, what did it all cost, stripe and install? Looking to skunk mine too. Also, I assume that's the stock ashen gray metallic stripe?

If I remember correctly stripes were $430 and $150 for the install, all was ordered and done through the dealer, this way I can insure at least 1 year warranty on them.

Only 2 stripes for ZL1 Grey (for exposed carbon fiber weave) and black (painted insert)

I think it depends if you have a '12 or a '13. If you have a '12 with a painted insert then you want a black stripe. If you have a '13 with a painted insert then you want the ashen gray stripe to match. I'm not sure which stripe matches the carbon fiber insert best but probably the ashen gray as you said. In all the promo pics of ZL1s with the stripe, the shark fin is painted to match the stripe but you have to have the installer do this, it is an extra cost. Its far cheaper to order the car with the stripe from the factory than to add it later but I liked the look so much I decided to go for it...
