Angrybird can you please send a link or tell me where to find the wiring harness that I would need if I found a cluster without the harness?

Thanks everyone

Hardly ever, I glance over there to check the tranny temp to make sure things are nice and warm before romping on it. Glad I have the gages, don't know if I would pony up that much cash on a non-performance mod.

You said it. Price is the only issue (and the reason I have a 1SS in the first place...) since it won't give me any hp. I'll start calling a few junkyards and see if anyone has a 2LT/2SS and wouldn't mind selling the cluster. If anyone knows where to get one for around $150 or less please let me know. Thanks again

Cheapest you will probably find for awhile is the link Angrybird12 posted above. They are $179 shipped if you get your own harness. They are brand new blems.
eBay is still up to $400.
If you can't find a wrecked one, maybe someone will trade you if they want the storage.
I have a 1SS also, and I am getting them for looks, and some function. They thing that hits my cubby hole is my phone....
After I get the Onstar/Bluetooth module, I won't need to have my phone out of my pocket.

If you plan on adding any performance mods, stereo mods or just like being able to verify you have oil pressure, it's great to have.

When my oil pump failed, I noticed I didn't have pressure at startup before the check engine alarms went off. I was able to shut it down before any damage could be done. For me, the gauge cluster saved me over $10k for a new motor.

If you can swing it, I say go for it.

The gage cluster looks cool, but I'll take the console space for cell phone, glasses, zip drive, change, gas card, etc.

I always glance at the gauges. If something doesn't sound right it's the first place I look. I can say I wasn't thrilled with their visibility that's why I did this with mine.

Don't like to jump on it till the oil is up to temp, same goes for the tranny temp.
Exactly. You don't have to "look", all it takes is a quick glance, when the temps are up then you know when it's time to play...

Do you ever purposefully look at the gauges? I'm having a hard time justifying giving up my storage space there and spending $350+ on something if it won't tell me anything useful...

Thanks!
I agree, you can't look at them while driving because they are too low IMHO.
They sure look pretty and for that reason alone I would get them.

http://seatsandsuch.auctivacommerce....aspx?sid=31888 in stock or will be getting more shortly.
That where I got mine from. I know the other is slightly cheaper but I wanted to get both at the same time. Plus only one shipping charge.
