Move it over to the left a little and that's me at the sub station. I refuse to park in one spot at work just so I can get more door dings. Already got three of them on my old Z28. No way in hell I'm taking any chances w/ me SS. TWO SPOTS FOR ME!!!

At work, I usually park out at the end of the lot, on the end of the row right up on the curb...they have a little extra space next to that last spot...not big enough for a parking spot (maybe for a motorcycle, but no one here in the building drives one to work). I back in at a slight angle. Of course, there is no one parking on my passenger side because there is "island" there. And, my brother usually parks on my driver side. The only time I don't get that spot is if my brother beats me back to work after lunch.
Other places (the mall, grocery store, etc), I usually try to find one of the end spots and cheat over. Or, I find the guy that parked across the line (intentional or not) and I park one space away from him, cheating over into the space he's cheating into. I'm not above taking two spots at work or just out running errands, getting dinner whatever, but I won't do that unless I go out to the end of the lot. Too many people out there that will do something to the vehicle if you are parked slightly off. |

are you talking about my 'awesome' drawing i did in MS paint or the fact that some 'waste of space' would park like that

I actually had someone call police because the person next to them parked so close they could not open their door. The mirrors were literally overlapping each other (it was that close). The owners of the car who were there first and parked correctly wanted me to move or tow the other car. I was like, uh....sorry, but I can't. This is not a police matter. The driver is a *****, but I can't help ya. Now, why don't you go in through your passenger door? They answer because there is no key hole. Um...ok. And do you have a key hole for your rear hatch??? They say yes....and I'm sitting there staring at this young couple w/ this blank stare on their face.....I finally tell them to open their rear hatch, have one of'em crawl in, start it, back it out and let the other in. I mean, this isn't rocket science.
On the other hand, I would have LOVED to have written that other car a parking ticket and had it towed. Unfortunately, we can't ticket/tow for that on private property. Sad... But, eventually they'll do that to the wrong car and when the owner of the poorly car returns, will probably find key marks all up and down the side of his/her car. |

Where I work during or after a snow storm that covers the parking stall lines we call it "Park like an auto worker day". These idiots park in the same lot 5 days a week 46 weeks a year and can't remember how to do it when the lines are gone. Its is ridiculous. I swear it looks like God took two hands full of matchbox cars and just dropped them in the lot.
