Something tells me that it would have so much armor that we'd be upgrading to a Duramax for all the torque.

You probably couldn't push this one as far.

Top of the list would have to be runflat tires.

Duramax in a Camaro you say?

OK, OK, it's a 1st gen, but still.

Not sure if any camaro could conform to milspec for dust and water intrusion!

I was just wanting to make the HUD selectable to show an AR 15 fwd site. It would make the commute a little more enjoyable.

That's not true. All of the equipment I've used in the Navy is rigorously maintained to prevent unexpected issues. We are all about preventative maintenance.

I've toyed with the idea of just painting the thing OD green... I haven't seen one, but think it would look very cool, very unique. The wife isn't much into it, but I may try a trick I used a few years ago: I worked for a guy who rented vehicles out to movie studios. He had one of the first civilian Hummers, a bright red beast. We needed to make it look military for Steven Segal's "Under Seige II: Dark Territory," so we taped the H1, "painted" it it liberally with Mop'n'Glo, then shot it with OD green, and hand-painted camo patterns onto it. Finished the shoot, took it to a coin-op car wash, and blasted every molecule of the paint off.... back to fire- engine red.

Someone earlier nailed it.. if it was a milspec then it was most likely purchased as a U2 chase car to replace our high mile GTO's or 4th Gen camaro's. Most chase cars at U2 bases are GTO's or 4th gens. I've seen one Corvette in my career but mostly 4ths.
