I love my V6 – It has a subdued rumble compared to the V8, but it’s still there without being obnoxious. My 77 Camaro is no match in any way, even after dropping in the V8 and 4bbl Edledbbock. The power in my 2010 is definitely there when I want it. I think the V8 is a great engine, and if you chose it—great. For me, the best choice is the V6. Either way, it’s a Camaro, so be proud of that choice.

V6 Feed Back

Hey all....Well, honestly (coming from an 08 Trailblazer SS), I tested the V6 to see what the hype was all about. I have to say this-- even though you may not agree--- this car was a gutless wonder...I will be getting the V8 for sure now. I just don't think of the car the same in a V6. Maybe the power of the new V6 is a reminder of what power we had on our '69 327....? I'm just sayin'....

Go test drive an SS with an automatic. The specs for HP & torque for the L99 is pretty much the same as your Trailblazer SS. Coming out of that truck and getting into a v6 Camaro, yeah, it's going to seem gutless when you are missing 33% of the torque and 25% of the HP while only giving up 500 lbs.

I have 700 miles on my 2LT/RS. I love everything about the car. Everyone that has looked at it loves it. My niece looked at it and bought one the next day. Home-run for Chevy.

Most of the people who stop me and ask about the car are surprised when i tell them that my car is a V-6, even more when i tell them the horsepower and all the options for the price..I get alot of people say Wow!

I've got 1,100 miles on my 2LT RS now and enjoying every mile. There is more than enough power, especially merging/passing on the highway. My commute is 30 miles each way with most on a secondary road at speeds of 30-40mph given traffic volume. As such the mpg is around 22 but to be expected as I can't maintain a 40-50mph which should yield better overall mpg. I didn't buy the Camaro for its fuel efficiency, I wanted it for its heritage (both as a muscle car and that my sister had a '74 which I never got to drive) and complete design package - engine, exterior and interior.

I am thoroughly delighted with my Camaro, and after taking my sister for a drive this past Sunday she's now got the fever as well and may just go for her second Camaro 35 years later...

Wink

V6 does it for me. Great car, no problems, happier than a pig in pig poop(?)
Would do the exact same if I had to do it again. As a matter of fact, if I was given the choice for the same $, I'd do the V6 in a heartbeat.
Mmmm.... THE HEARTBEAT OF AMERICA

I see your point and it's taken. I just thought it would have been more impressive from all the hype coming from everyone. I thought since I was coming from those stats on the TBSS that I would've been pleasantly surprised. I was unfortunately let down. I do think it still looked great! Kudos to all who scored theirs early. I'm hoping to get Camaro 2SS from the second batch as my 1st batch Trailblazer SS was riddled with problems so much so that I had to trade it in for another one out of the second production batch (which turned out awesome)!!
