If you like it and are happy with it it is a good trade no matter what anyone else thinks. Bottom line is do you want it or not. And 38 for a used 12 with 17k is way to much, you could probraly find a left over new 12 for that. If you have not talked to them about the 12 then go in and try to deal on that, if thats what you want. The asking price the give you over the phone is alway inflated. You can't find out the real price until you go in and deal for it.

They can do better or look elsewhere .i bought my 2010 2 ss/rs l99 rjt with every option except stripes ,with 13000 miles on it in march of last year for 28,000 out the door no money down and 2% financing. They also put on 4 brand new tires and a year of free services to sweeten the deal.Thats well over a grand in extras.

I do know at this place I'll get free for life oil changes and a good bit of other things. I know at 27,900 it's inflated. Honestly, I think mine looks sharper. Mine has blacked out plasti-dipped wheels, blacked out bowties, and the IOM stripe/interior makes it pop a little more. Two reasons I'm considering the trade, and the main thing is the 2SS, the second being white will be so much easier to keep clean. I have to wash mine at least once a week, which, don't get me wrong I LOVE to do, but here in MS, we have strange weather. It can be freezing all week, mixed with rain, sunshine, and wind (and that's just in one day). It sucks having to wash your car in 40 degree weather just because it gets so dirty.

Even though mine IS a 2LT, with it being a year newer and 14k less miles, as well as the interior it should be an even trade. I don't know that they'd ever do it, but I'm more than willing to walk away from the sale if they won't do me right. I've learned dealer tactics when searching for my last one, and anyone who's gonna try and screw me over I give it right back to them. There was a slight scuff on the bumper of the 2010 (no wreck damage, just a scratch they needed to buff out), but mine has a 100% clean title, no work or anything on it. If they try to say anything negative about mine, I'll bring up the fact that instead of looking at it last week it was in the shop.

I'm still thinking about it. I need to get my oil changed anyways (29% life left) and the dealer is just up the road, and I still have a credit from when I got mine, so I might see what I can do. Wouldn't hurt anything, anyway.

I should just add that I re-looked at the ad, and it's just 12 shy of 40,000 miles....so mine actually has 16,000 less miles. Is 40k miles too much?

^^^^^ Yes Yes Yes...........Find a lower mileage car if you are wanting an SS. You can get a good deal on a low mileage used SS if you shop around a bit....Good luck

I want an SS bad, but originally what I wanted as an uninformed Camaro looker after my wreck was a V6 Camaro, everyone asked why, and it was simple: I HATED paying $100+ a week for gas. My dream was to get a black 2LT/RS with IOM interior, but I never thought I could afford it, and when my dad called about the one I have now I didn't even consider it. I just wanted one, didn't care if it was a 1LS or what, ever since TF1, I was in love with the Camaro.

Skip ahead a few months and I was able to trade my first 2LT for my dream 2LT/RS, exactly what I wanted. What I'm afraid of most in this 2010 is settling. That's what I did with my first one, and I was sick of it shortly after. I have been so much happier with mine now, and I'm thinking if I want an SS bad enough, that deal will come eventually, or I could even save money and get a 6th gen SS/z28/ZL1, etc.

Thanks for the advice guys

I bought my 2010 2SS (not RS though) with 12K miles 1 month ago for 27,300...I have a year and a half left on the bumper to bumper etc etc etc bc the car was originally bought until march of 2011 or something like that...so for a 2010 2ss with 40k miles I would expect to pay 25k or less

I would do as someone else stated above, trade for a 2012 or newer to get the better suspension bits and added features. You won't regret it.

Holy...

I got a new 12 2SS/RS with 26 miles on the odo three weeks ago for $36.9. That dealership is a little out of it me thinks.

I agree with many above. I would keep searching for a 12 with decent miles on it from a seller or dealer that hasn't used a dartboard to set prices.

That's exactly what I paid for my 45th back in Oct. of 2011. Glad to see it's keeping it's value.. I'm not sure what options the car +10 is looking at has. That might be a decent price if it was a fully loaded out convertable... Otherwise, yeah... Keep looking would be my advice.

It's white with black interior, no stripe or anything. 2SS/RS

The one that was 38,9 had aftermarket exhaust, but even so, it wasn't even a vert. I do want a V8 at some point soon. My dad is actually going by the area today and is gonna take a look at the car to see what he thinks. We both have agreed though 40k miles is too much, but it won't hurt to look.

Check KBB or NADA, you will probably only get 22ish for your 2LT
