I still haven't seen a Camaro in my area. So they are definately still a very rare site in many regions of the country.

Hi Donna, hey here's a new one. called the dealer today to again ask what the hold up is, because they are getting other cars before us. Well, they called "the plant" and were told that it takes longer to "make the RJTs due to the special paint for Red Jewell that slows it down/holds it up due to multiple paints and drying. They try to do in batches." Is this a true story??? I think our dealer is honest, he one of the owners, but this was a new one on me.

I do know that reds are the toughest colors to paint. Also, when I worked at Honda, they would make cars in batches of specific colors as well.

Same here. I've had mine almost a month and there still isn't another one in my area (on the road). So I still get a lot of attention.

One of my local dealers has 3 on the lot (2 SS and 1 V6). But they have them marked up $5000 so I doubt they'll sell right away. They've had them for at least 2 or 3 weeks.

The other dealer that's local has at least one V6 (probably another by now) but they too are marking them up $5000.

The car definately attracks attention. I'm glad so many are not regretting their purchase decision. I know I don't.

i did not know that, but it makes sense...this is such a special color and it costs extra, so that must be because it is more labor intensive to paint, thus the higher(AND WELL WORTH IT)price...............
