I live in a rural area with lots of 2 lane backroads, so an auto would make me fall asleep.

My A6 is hands down the best auto I've ever driven ... And can even be quit evil at times.

My last car was a Pontiac G8 GXP. It had the LS3 with an Automatic. It was the most impressive auto-trans I have owned, but I did miss driving manual after a while.

I traded it in on a 1LE which only comes in manual, so that made the choice easy.

I also have an Automatic and never regret it + the fun I get from using the Paddle Shifters.

Zero regret. There is nothing about the A6 some tuning can't fix.

Can't speculate on that since I choose a manual and I love every minute of it

Have a manual in the '02 and auto in the '10.

Nothing wrong with either, both have advantages/disadvantages. I prefer manual, but the wife wanted an auto in the newer Camaro, so guess what we got?

When I want to drive a stick, I take out my 99 Chevrolet Tracker convertible and drive it like I stole it
