Well not really - it depends on what you're after. The theory is pretty much the same on all of them, but some look and sound better than others. I can say that the CAI intake is easy to install, looks fabulous, and adds a nice growl to the engine when you put your foot in it. Combined with the Apex scoop, it's awesome sounding and improves responsiveness to the whole driving experience.

Go with a rotofab or Haltech, they use plastic tubes and the others use metal tubes. They raise IAt's higher than the others and cool off much slower.

I have the CAI but a recording won't help. I hardly ever hear it. Occasionally I'll hear the suction whoosh, but its rare. Under hard acceleration there's a low moan, but nothing you could discern because of the muffler delete.
