Mine had two gust guards and some rope from Lowe's on it to hold the cover in place....paint is perfect. Though the cover was already made to fit a Camaro anyway.

This may sound "dumb" place bounce dryer sheets inside it and around it. it will keep any rodents away. I know many people that do this when they part boats, camper trailers.
i had a family member that had hoses chewed apart from rodents that climbed into the engine bay |

seven weeks should not hurt tires -
Suggest that you go and buy some charcoal briquets - NOT the kind with lighter fluid in them or with anything like mesquite....just the plain old regular briquets. Put several of them in a paper bag on the floor in the front seat area -- and another in the trunk. This will keep out any odors. (I strongly suggest people do this when they put their cars away for any length of time.) ....just DON'T forget to remove the bag from the trunk before you drive the car....if not, you'll have a charcoal mess of dust all over the trunk.......

When I stored mine for the winter, I was worried about mice. 3 inexpensive things to do:
put mousetraps down by the inside of the tires put drier sheets in the trunk and on the floorboard put some mothballs on aluminum foil and distribute around the engine bay. I think this is probably overkill, but the mice will NOT get your car and it will cost under $10. trapped one by the RR tire. Goes without saying, but don't forget the mothballs under the hood when you take it out for the 1st time. I drove mine and smelled an unusual odor, for got the mothballs under the hood

If you live in a place, where you get hail storms. Dont forget to get a hail damage resistant covers. And silly thing, but tie the cover to your car. i know its stupid, but you never know.

Anyhow, OP best bet you can do is try to elevate it somehow from the grassy area. Maybe moth balls in the engine compartment so creatures stay away? And the car cover. Wheel locks as well, just in case. |
