Great write up, I owned my 2010 for 2 1/2 years and loved every minute until I rode in my son's 2011 Camaro Convertible. Then I set my sights on one and got it in June of last year. I love this one even more. I think it is even better looking than the coupe. But then again I have always loved a convertible with the top down.
Enjoy many more years with your Camaro, and thank your dad every time you drive it.

Although I disagree heartily that it's a sportscar (too many seats for starters), I'm ten months with my car, and except for sub-par dealer service center performance, I can only complain about the paint being...delicate.

However overall, the car simply works and does what it was claimed to do. It's a good car.

I think the two tone black roof/red car really sets off the car's styling

Thanks, my wife says we can't take it anywhere without someone telling us what a good looking car it is.

I agree the exhaust note is hardly noticable unless I stomp on the gas or during startups. I have driven in Kuwait and given that there are so many nice fast cars out there, the Camaro really stands out. Taking the 80 towards Basrah is a really nice stretch of road to really see how fast you can really go. I let loose a Toyota Prado out there once, and people were still passing me.

Thanks man, they really are amazing!

Hopefully, 5-10 years from now you will buy your dad a Ferrari as a present
I really hope so, and I would love to do such a thing. He always wanted a Rolls Royce though. Hopefully one day I can make that a reality.

Both are really great, I love the convertible as well. I thank him frequently, and I am grateful for everything he has done.

I personally never went that far out of the city, but there are quite few great strips all around Kuwait to see how fast it can go. The problem is though, they've installed a lot of speed cameras all around. It's good for peoples safety I guess.

Thanks everyone for the great comments.

Really nice review . I, too, fell in love with the Camaro when I first saw the movie, so I know how you feel. I got my car 5 days ago, and I haven't stopped smiling.
