This is gona happen its bad washing techniques that cause this. If there was rail dust and the dealer didnt remove them correctly with a clay bar they would have scratched it u can count on it. If u are to do it yourself wash it then use a clay bar then try swirlx. If swirlx doesnt work take it to a pro to have a look at it. For about 275 u can have him do a full detail to start fresh from wash, clay bar, polish and wax the full deal.Good luck

No Site The only reason I asked was I had just read the exact same paragraph about a hour ago from this site.

Hand attempts will mask or remove the finest blemishes. For those harder clear coat surfaces, I have always recommended to use the least agressive means necessary until something stronger is needed. On darker colors, I like to use the Menzerna PO 106 FA "Super Finish" using a black finishing pad on a PC or FLEX. This is an extremely fine micro-abrasive that smooths and refines to perfection while removing the fine lines that occur during the washing/drying process.

I bought the blonde towels - but....

Hi, I did take the plunge and bought the 3 pack of towels from Zaino, and they stated they were "pre-washed", so I used them right out of the package. My car is black, and when I use it to wipe off the Z6, or dry, I end up with little shiny things all over the car.

They aren't like fluff that comes right off either, they are stuck to the car... So...

It is 100 degrees every day, but even after the sun goes down it doesn't seem to make a difference, they are still there.

Or, should I have washed them anyway? Could I be "using" them wrong?

I have yet to be happy with any of the towels I have tried, which is why I bought the blonde's... Now I am thinking about going to a higher end store like Macy's and buying the white 100% cotton expensive towels, cut the border and give them a try. I just want to find something that works, I will pay the higher price, but the blonde ones don't seem to work as well as I thought they would. They are very soft, but maybe they are only an issue on the black...

Sorry, any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!

I went to MACY's TOO, and bought their most expensive 100% (INDIAN MADE :( Towels). Very soft, but I dry my car with those only, and I use the blot method, where you just drop the towel on the paint and lift off. NO RUBBING. The BLONDES I use for wiping polish off , and the Zaino detailer. They have NOT caused any swirls or scratches. DON"T push down hard with any towel, you shouldn't need to wash those Blondes, I didn't and no problems.. Most of the time people put scatches or swirls in the paint by the actual wash from a dirty mit or they didn't wash the car the proper way...

Any of you guys know any good detail shops in the Chicagoland area that can buff out these swirl marks? I just had the bumper painted, don't ask, and they hand washed the car and made the swirl marks even worse than before. I can see them all over in the direct sunlight, especially on the hood, and it is driving me insane. I would rather take it to a professional to have them removed the right way, before I try and do something myself...Plus, I am extremely busy with work and rarely have alot of time, or admittedly patience, to do this sort of stuff myself...

Thanks guys,

Y2J
