Your dealer is an idiot. And any nameless reps and henchmen at your dealer are idiots.

F***, I'll even throw the ZL1 in there if that will cover the bases.
ZL1 - length 190.4 inches
Only thing I don't have is the 2014 dims. Anybody got those?
Is that with or without the front license plate bracket?

I went to a toyota dealer to trade in my Tundra and asked if they had any Camaros. The guy got all excited and said "we have a beautiful Camaro up on a stand on the corner of the street." It got really awkward when I informed him it was a mustang...

The OP asked if it was true, the rest of us are calling the dealer an idiot. I hope.

I don't expect a dealership to know every tiny detail of every vehicle they have ever sold. There are too many variables involved from model to model and one trim level to the next.

As long as I'm taken to the kind of car I ask for and the trim level i want, I'll read the window sticker/ do my own inspection rather than rely on a salesman who may or may not have just started working there a day or so ago.

However I also firmly believe that the salesman should just keep his mouth shut if he doesnt know something as opposed to making crap up on the fly.

When I was buying my 2011 in Sept 2010, the dealer had no clue about difference in M6/A6/L99/LS3 engines..hp...AFM DOD ect...they said I didn't know what I was talking about.

At the time I really did not, but knew enough to ask what the deal was.

If I were to sell cars for a new car dealer. I would make it my business to know as much about the cars I was selling as I could and try not to BS. As I would want to establish a good working relationship with my customers. Hoping that the experience was good and they would send family and friends to me for there cars.

i just wanted to entertain...I didn't think he was correct at any point, but it was amusing when he said it.

I was more happy when the oil leak was only an improperly tightened oil filter (which this dealership put on months ago before it got cold for the winter and started dripping every time I drove it) and not the pan gasket. garrage floor clean now, and no more drips.

Sorry for their confusion from your dealer EMB135Driver,

There is no difference in the length of the Camaro coupe or convertible coupe. The length for all Camaro’s come in at 190.40(4836).

Most of the ones I've talked to don't have a clue about the cars, but if you give them your credit score, monthly income, and tell them how much of a payment you can make, they're all over that info and know exactly what to do with it!
