We would like to announce that we will be a drop off center for anyone that wants to donate things that are needed for the folks in Oklahoma between now and Friday. There are two very special people in Taylor by the name of Bill and Lynda Roberts who have procured a 27 ft truck, to drive down to Oklahoma full of donated items. The truck will be parked at the Taylor Democratic Club on Friday, Saturday and Sunday so items can be dropped off. It is located at 23400 Wick Rd, Taylor, Mi. from 9-7 each day. Items needed are WATER, TRASH BAGS, BABY FOOD & FORMULA, DIAPERS, ALL PERSONAL ITEMS FOR ADULTS, CANED FOODS, CHIPS,CANDY, Ect....ANYTHING THAT CAN MAKE THE DRIVE DOWN THERE WITH OUT GOING BAD.]

We are deeply saddened by yesterday's devastation in our neighboring community of Moore. Our hearts go out to everyone affected and we are ready to help in any way we can. If you are also ready to help the victims of this tragedy, we have several suggestions:

-Our friends at the University of Oklahoma College of Liberal Studies are taking donations to rescue workers this afternoon. Items such as work gloves, flashlights, shovels, tool belts, and batteries would be greatly appreciated. Any of those donations can be taken directly to the McCarter Hall Lobby.

-If you know people who still need temporary residence, OU Housing and Residence Life has spaces available in campus housing facilities. You can get more information by calling 405-325-2511. Also, they have already taken in over 100 families and could use supplies to help care for them. Items on that list include diapers, formula, bottles, cell phone chargers, pet food, clothing for adults and children, and also books and board games for kids. These items can be taken directly to the Walker Tower Main Housing Office.

-If you are not local and would still like to help, the American Red Cross of Central and Western Oklahoma can accept donations by texting "REDCROSS" to 90999, which will make a $10 donation. Red Cross officials said they will use the money to purchase supplies to assist storm victims and first responders.

Our Oklahoma Camaro Club is doing a drive, whatever donations or money people can spare, and taking things to Shawnee and Moore. I'll be in Moore this weekend to help with the cleanup efforts. Keep everyone in your thoughts, y'all! Oklahomans are strong people and we take care of each other
