Here is the interesting thing. All the playing around and stuff since I got the car new I was getting 12.5-14.5 miles per gallon. Today I reset the gas milage thing and have been romping it more than I have in the past and I am getting 17.8 miles per gallon. Have driven like 3 days worth of driving this morning so far and romping the heck out of it.

Also the car is idling rough since I unplugged it and plugged it back in. It was suggested to me in a PM that it may not have a good connection. Is the car relearning now since that may of not been working right?

I just do not know what exactly it does so some insite would be great.
Scott, what are you plugging and unplugging?

There is the cable that plugs into the air intake pipe. It looked connected to me but I went ahead and unplugged it and plugged it back in good and solid. Seems to of done something.

I have a question out to GM performance guy and waiting to see what he says. The car is idling rough now but could be the computer needs to relearn if the Mass Airflow Sensor was not plugged in all the way. Reading about them gas milage should improve if one is not working and low end torque and HP.

yup i would say it's the MAF and if it wasn't plugged in securely you would have some problems

i read that someone on here had got his car and it wasn't plugged in at all and it didn't through any codes

I have the first run in the other thread about 6.8 sec and both runs in this video at 6.5

Not sure if you can account the unplug and replug of the MAF to attribute to that or not.

I did it several times and got the same results. Your car could be down on power. I know with motorcycles, not all are created equal.

It's cool of you to save the codes for GM if they could use them for a fix.

Personally, I'd unhook the battery far a couple hours then punch the chit out of it for a couple days.

If you unplug the battery, you have to reset the window indexing as well. Make sure you read the manual before you disconnect the battery.

Those times you're running this morning are the times I've gotten with mine.

And guys, please don't tell me it's the humidity because Bonnies car had NO problem. I got half second better times with her car.

It's definately not humidity. Another L99 posted on this discussion board today saying he got 5.2 0-60's with G-Tech. Good luck getting your cars running like they should guys.

I had mine out yesterday. The car isn't as fast as I would like it to be. I would guess my 0-60 is about 6-6.5 secs. Granted I have just under 300 miles on the car. It's been fairly humid and I'm at about 5000 ft above see level. Hopefuly it improves once I'm broken in. And with traction and stabilitrack off I cannot get the wheel to spin or chirp when launching or when it shifts. I'm not saying anything is wrong with my car but there seems to be a wide variety of performance differences between each Camaro.

the tires wont chirp with stabilitrack off, put it in M mode and then just shut off the traction control, it should break em loose on the launch, oh and also you need to get 500 miles on it first, at least thats how it was with mine

Scott... the more I think about your problem it reminds me of my TBSS when I first got it... Dont get me wrong It didn't seem like it was lacking power but the mileage was absolutely horrible.... then when I first changed the oil mileage went up and so did the power....... I thought it was just me thinking it was but maybe it wasn't.

My dad had to replace a part on his Blazer last year. Little part connected to the air intake. It wasn't opening and closing properly. It was running slugish and getting about 3 miles per gallon under what it should have.
