How do I do that? Music went from I -Tunes to My Computer to USB. The music was then put into folders by band name. It just did it. I didnt mean for it to happen like that.

There's the problem. I believe the Camaro will not recognize music with DRM attached. I'm pretty sure all music from the I-tunes store is equipped with this pesky stuff.

For your reference, DRM means Digital Rights Management, and it's a way for the recording industry to prevent file sharing.

Bingo! You can play the songs, but only through an iPod with the USB cable.

I'll have to defer to someone who knows more about this than I do, but I believe if you use I-Tunes to rip cd's, it automatically copyrights all of the music files with DRM. Even if it was purchased at a store. If that's the case, that really sucks.

Not a very good poll because there is no option for "working fine". If you got everyone to post their experiences both positive and negative then you would get a sense of how many problems their are and perhaps we can look for some trends.

It is the difference between just complaining and actually trying to resolve the issues so we can all enjoy this feature.

No, if you rip from CD using itunes there is no DRM. Also, after April 2009 most iTunes music is DRM free. Most older itunes purchases can be upgraded to DRM free version for $0.30 per song.

I use my IPOD on mine. I will work just fine, be playing a song and shutoff the car, come back and start it...no music, wiggle the USB plug and it comes back on. This has nothing to do with type of file, music rights or anything software related on my IPOD. It it software or hardware related in the car. Too many people are having problems with this system and it will eventually get GM's attention.

iTunes rips CDs to AAC (m4a or whatever) which is NOT compatible with the Camaro via USB flash drive. You need to go into your iTunes settings and change it to rip to MP3. You should also be able to right click on your songs and convert them to MP3 so you don't have to re-rip them.

They are still AAC which will need to be converted to MP3 in order to play in the Camaro off a flash drive.

Solution: RIP music with windows media player, it creates high qualty MP3s (320k) or WMAs if you set the options right.

I didn't respond to the poll at all because as far as I'm concerned having the car close to 3 weeks now it works fine to me. I have had a couple little problems that I consider inconsequential. I use an iriver player with its USB cable and all my music is non DRM either downloaded or ripped. Once or twice I got "device not recognized" or "no compatable data on device" (or something like that) which was solved by unplugging it and plugging back in. As well I discovered that yes Camaro and DRM don't mix, but thats not a problem its just the way DRM sucks, I mean works....

What I don't like:
- It doesn't save the fact you select random play
- If you change the source to XM, FM, et.al. while driving and shut off the car, it automatically defaults to the device when you start the car again

What I do like:
- sound quality is great (partially because I don't bother with MP3's that are under 256k)
- quick and easy to search through tracks
- charges up the battery while in the car so I can use it wherever I go

Mine is fine most of the time, but yesterday when I got into my car (iPod was left in the car, still hooked up), it didn't recognize it. I unplugged it, plugged it back in, nothing would work. I turned off the car, turned it back on, and it worked fine.

Did Microsoft make this? If all else fails, restart?

Oh, wait... this is my car... :(

Got my camaro today. Plugged my ipod in numerous times and nothing happens at all. What is supposed to happen when you plug it in. Because my ipod doesnt do anything, and the camaro does not search for music like the instruction book says it does.
