The 11 and up 392s handle a lot better than the early ones. It's night and day. While they're not on par with the ZL1 in the handling end they also don't cost as much. I love everything about the challenger ,but I went with the ZL1 because of the power. Other wise, I would be driving a challenger. The interior in the new challenger is a lot nicer to me than my ZL1. Exterior looks is just about a wash for me. I like both equally.

As an owner of a srt8 and a camaro ss/rs I would say the ZL1 all day. The srt8 runs and hides from my ss but the ZL1 is a whole other animal. That thing is a dream to drive. Not as comfortable as the Chrysler but worth it in every other way. I love the look of the challenger but it just dont hold a candle to the ZL1. jmho

The obvious

SRT8 Challenger.....Comfortable, looks good, quick, great daily, but no Rag Top.

ZL1....Fast, looks good, good daily.

Just saying!

From a muscle car perspective....please enlighten me. Someone else mentioned the early 70's which I will agree with but after '73 I think you would be hard pressed to pick a mopar over the competition from Ford, Pontiac, Buick, let alone Chevrolet.

Ok, I amend my "late 60's" comment to include "early 70's" but past that...not sure I can think of a single one.

ZL1 IS SPECIAL in every way. SRT8 was made for the SS level nuff said there. what I love about all the Camaros is that all of the trims look different and they still look awesome which is hard to do . The challenger all of them look the same. nomatter what trim you buy . The only difference is the badges on the challenger and those are sweet looking cars but can't compare to the camaro . So nobody can tell what trim challenger you have until they see the badges or stickers. Too me Chevy put more thought into there different trims , every one has it's special purpose . and I love the HUD and 4 pack gauges and square speedo dash trim. You know you're driving a camaro. and something special. Challenger would be my second choice!
