A big thanks to all of the following: Heintz Racing, S.L. Customs, Matt at FSP, Chris and Alex at ECS, Advanced Inductions, and Gall Racing Engines. Jeff, Phil, Zach and Bob I could not have done it without your help, support and expertise.
After deciding I wanted more power and crank up the boost, we decided to forge the motor (Stock Crank, Callies Rods and Wiseco Pistons). Advanced Inductions handled the head porting and updating the valves. HR and AI teamed up to spec a new blower friendly cam that would maximize the power with the new set-up. SL Customs provided the custom paint and Billet Custom Products supplied the new valve covers. Track times to come when the cooler weather is available. Disclaimer: Yes, I realize the 6L80 will not last long so no comments please  Quick run down: Unrestricted ECS Paxton Novi 1500, Forged L99 10.4:1, Ported Heads and blower cam, Stock 6L80, DSS 9" with 3.70 gear. It was a great race season this year with hardly any issues with the car. We set several new personal bests after installing the RPM Transmissions Level 7 4L6XE and DSS Carbon Fiber Shaft.
A huge thanks to Heintz Racing, RPM Transmissions, Driveshaft Shop and SL Customs for all their support this year. 1. Won 5th Gen Class at the Super Chevy Show in Rockingham 2. Made it to the quarter finals in a tough field at Civil Wars 3. Finished 9th in the points in the LSX Challenge Series despite multiple driver error 4. Set a new personal best of 10.06 at 138 with 9s in the near future Here is a video of the 10.07 at 138 pass from Civil Wars: |
