PISSES ME OFF THAT I'M NOT THERE

Those Cobra helicopters up there..... I am with the squadron that actually took them from Iraq to Afghanistan last fall.

We got to open fire on plenty of people, but I kinda hate I didnt get to stick around for the "surge" if you will this spring/summer.

Thats bad ass though.

They join to fight not to ride a desk.

You don't join a Marine combat expedtionary unit if you want to mop floors or peel potatoes.

Just read a report of the first casualties suffered by US Marines in Afganistan. Really sucks.

The cooling suits the ground crew use when it's hot to rearm and refuel or do maint was one of the projects I worked on at Brooks AFB back in the early 90's.

It's a heavy price to pay for freedom. Condolences to those lost in the Marines and allied / Afgani troops.

Its really sad seeing all these troops getting hurt and dying. Especially when the VA usually dicks them over. I work with a marine who has 100% disability, but he seems completely fine. But if he was hurt in the desert, he deserves it.

I just hope this occupation ends soon. Its a waste of life and money.
