see if you can't get a good deal on a trade in now. Might as well upgrade to a ZL1.

100+ years of making cars and we still have to get out of our cars with a focus on avoiding door-car collisions.
I've trained my 7 year old daughter to be very conscious of opening car doors. She's fantastic with her technique and care. I wish more parents would instill some kind of care in their children because they learn so easily. The just have to be taught to care. But all the time, I see kids getitng out of their family car in a parking lot and just FLING the doors open with reckless abandon. It makes me cringe every time. And generally their parents do the same. It sure would be nice if we could finally have cars that didn't ding so easily. The Corvette material is better than metal in this regard. But there must be a better way. |

Anyone who gets in my car gets the run down about how the doors fling open with the slightest effort. Shit happens man :(

I don't see a dent, but I do see where the paint chipped off. You can get OEM touch up paint. I like Dr. Color Chip. www.drcolorchip.com Then you can get vinyl door edge trim to ensure that never happens again. You know, the same stuff they use for clear bra's. Good luck, you'll be fine. And as others have said, paintless door dent removal guys work wonders. Just find one that is good and fair, but you already knew that.

Seriously though, I drove a Saturn coupe for a number of years and it looked brand new when I got rid of it. Plastic doors don't dent, ding, or rust. Too bad it never cought on. |

Thank you all for your support in these troubling times. I went ahead and pushed the car off a cliff last night. So sad. Guess I'll start over with a Z/28 or maybe a stingray. :-)

I've learned from those mistakes. Even after telling people don't fling my doors or slam my doors shut. Whenever I go somewhere with someone or the fiancé I'll put a rubber strip that attaches to the door. It just slides on, so in the event they fling it open the rubber strip stops it.
Any other day I don't have it on there. Lol |

Got my first ding, and I was heartbroken. I took it too the dealer and their body shop was able to do a no paint door repair for $100 and I can't even tell it was there. Sad, but it was some of the best money spent!
