Looks like they gave me the remote engine start in place of the power passenger seat I guess.

Does it come standard with the remote engine start?

Remote starter is standard on all auto transmissions, not manual.

Funny thing about that..............

I was never concerned about it, because I'm never going to be sitting there.

.............unless I let pops take it for a spin sometime.

My wife complains that the passenger seat is too low to the floor, so i looked in the manual and it says you can raise and lower the seat with a manual handle that is on the outside of the seat near the recline button. It even shows a picture of the handle. It says to pump the handle to reach desired height. So I go out to the car to raise the seat for her, but no handle is there!! You can't raise the height of the passenger seat even though the manual says you can?? What am I missing here??? My wife is short and almost needs a pillow to see over the dash and I can't raise the seat height??

More than likely they did a copy/paste job from another car's manual. There are several things in the Camaro manual that are just wrong.

The pass seat has a manual handle for slide forward/back and a power recline. No other adjustments. My wife hates it.

I read the same thing...went to look and nope, nothing there!

I love this car but the passenger seat (not being power) is BS! For the cost of this car I jsut can't see why they couldn't have included it!

Talked to a guy Friday night with a Z06 and he said that his passenger seat is also manual...so maybe it's a Chevy thing? You'd think on a $70K car they'd include it there but no...Chevy felt it wasn't needed!

Cool

This was not a mistake by the general (or O). It was intentional. If you go back to some of the stories about the equipment that would come with the car, GM originally said it would have dual power seats. My guess GM cut this for a couple of reasons.

Reduced weight.
Reduced cost which allowed gm to keep the price of the car down
gm wants to give the next generation of buyers a reason to buy the car with more stuff on it.

There is a thread on this site asking what people would like to see on the 2011 car. HUD was one. GPS was another. These items will eventually be added, but the price of the car will go up accordingly.

Just my 2 cents.

Ditto on the passenger seat height adjustment. My wife can hardly see over the dash.
Anyone come up with a Mod? Maybe spacers under the seat to rail rear bolts?

According to Fbodyfather, the power passenger seat would have added too much to the price of the car. GM's engineers had to come in under a certain price. My wife is also short and complains about the seat height. If any one has an idea about this other than having her sit on a pillow, I would really like to hear it. I saw the part about jacking the seat up in the owners manual and looked for the up and down lever and there was none. I think that is for adjusting the manual seat on the cheapest version of the six cylinder model.
