All of the good ones are stainless. I have ARH on mine All of them can be coated, but I don't really see a need. |

The 2014 ZL1 and up come with a different belly pan cover and will not require trimming for header installs, you could just buy a newer belly pan to use with your headers and keep the older one if you decide to take off the headers and go back to stock setup in the future.

Here is a picture of a belly pan that has been trimmed: All Top tier headers are made of 304 stainless steel. I recommend going with Kooks. We also offer coating at an optional/additional cost and have various options. Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions. Best regards, Tyler 888-308-6007 |

But would a rotofab intake + Kooks headers + high flow cats, and a pulley require a tune? I know it would benefit. BUT...would it REQUIRE... I'd love to get some more out of the engine but DO NOT want to void the warranty...just yet. So I've got about $1,500...and I can get the headers, cats, and rotofab.... But...I see this pulley stuff....what to do???

I did not think that the SLP headers required any trimming?

I would look at the following I listed them kind of in price order. From what I have read these are all perfect fitment other thant he belly pan which is plastic and the area cut does not affect aero or cooling enought to really worry about. 1. ARH 2. KOOKS 3. STAINLESS WORKS 4 STAINLESS POWER they all can be coated so that is not an issue. I went stainless power will install monday they are supposed to fit perfect. some people seem to have issue with not A. buying all USA MADE B. not spending over 1k on headers one reason to spend the extra money if you want 2" tubes and are shooting to the moon power wise. anybody who thinks that extra $500 on headers is money spent in the right place on a modest build like mine is fooling themselves IMO as that 500 towards other mods would make more power. I don't get into the us vs china debate anymore outsourced manufacturing is just the way things work now. If a product has good quality is what I care about. If I had lofty goals I would have spend the extra coin on kooks or ARH for 2" tubes.

Be careful with the Cats. They don't last long on the ZL1
