Don't bother with K&N.

I'll have to double check to be sure but if I remember correctly, the K&N filters are made by the same manufacturer that makes Mobil 1 filters. Both filters are identical inside and out but the Mobil 1 filter is cheaper.

Autozone runs specials on 5qts Mobil 1 and Mobile 1 filter for around $33.00, and Sam's Club has the cheaper oil 6qts for under$30.00 I think.

But the K&N filter has a "nut" welded to the top of it!

Pep Boys had the AC Delco filter for under $4 and like others mentioned Walmart for the oil, around $23. Can't beat it. Makes you wonder how the dealer can charge you $90 for an oil change and make you sit around for 3 hours to wait after your scheduled appointment. It's sickening!

Autozone in N. Tx charged 21 bucks for k&n oil filter. Found them on amazon for 9 or 10 bucks. Cheapest I've found.

no idea if walmart does the same with mobile 1 but the reason most stuff is cheaper at wal mart is they are cheaper products. walmart pays manufacturers to use cheaper stuff. Like a hp computer is really a compact in a hp case. tvs are made just for walmart. they will have the same part number as the others but it will have like a wm at the end of it. some one should check the wal mart mobile 1 and parts store mobile 1. it might not be the same quality stuff.
