A friend of mine purchased the IOM Camaro with the IO interior, that color combo really looks Awesome. I choose the SIM color with the 2 tone Gray interior...IMO, that color combo looks the best for the silver car.

So here is my question...... Has anybody gotten tired of their INFERNO ORANGE INTERIOR TRIM ???

I ordered mine Silver with the IO Interior Trim (closest match to the orig. Camaro Concept), but now am wondering if I will grow tired of the contrasting colors.... The thing is... I just cant picture myself driving to a business meeting with a nice suit... and a bright orange/red-ish interior.
Perhaps the all black leather might look more professional? Im sure someone here has run into a similar dilemma.

Any thoughts on this??

Also, if any of you guys out there have a SIM/IO it would be great if you could post doors-open pics, it would really help.

Thanks Guys!

I too had a tough time with this but went with the Black Leather interior. I wondered if I would grow tired but more so I wondered if the Orange would show wear or dirt prints over the years. I was not sure so I elected to go with Black as I think it will hide the dirt smudges that will eventually show over time. I will say I really wanted the Orange interior though and still do. My wife has the SIM 2LT RS with Black interior and it seemed to flow well. I debated the IO interior with myself all the way up until I ordered my SIM on 6/24. I am currently at 3000 and was pretty much told I cannot change now but as of yesterday I was still thinking about that IO interior. Can't go wrong either way. Over the long run the Black may hide dirt marks. I play a lot of sports and was really more worried about getting in the car sweaty and the IO interior getting stained in that capacity. Tough one there. I know I will always wonder just the opposite of you and think should I have gone with the IO interior as opposed to Black. Either way you will love it!! I have seen both and while very different both look great

I was going to go with IOM with IO interior. I thought it might be a little too much. I changed my mind on the IOM, I love that color, but thought it might be screaming “HEY MR MAN PULL ME OVER!” I ended up compromising and going with CGM, but will defiantly stay with the IO interior. To tie the whole thing together…….. IOM rally stripes. The only hesitation for me has been with the panels. If they really don’t sit well I will look into the orange/black carbon fiber panels from DSVcustoms to replace them.
There’s already enough mainstream out there, set yourself apart from the rest, keep the suit BUT go with the IO interior!

Come drive my vette today at 103 degrees with no ac and old black leather with wrinkes and a couple tears on it and no headliner.

You'll be on bowing to your Camaro and the orange the next day.
(just joking but for perspective).

That still sounds like a good combination. There are only a few colors that the IO interior can go with:
Black
IOM (of course)
Silver
and the upcoming White

I got a Rally Yellow 2SS. So the IO interior would not go with it. I'm still waiting to see the yellow panels

The IO interior doesn't do anything for me, but I can help you out with seeing the color combo. Here are some pictures from the Indy bash last September. They had that color combo for folks to see. Enjoy!

I decided to go with the IOM interior on my Blk 2SS on the last day I was able to change my order. It was the best decision I could have made because it gives the car personality. Everyone that has seen my interior loves it. When I first decided to order it, my wife was not happy about me changing my interior from black to IOM, but now that she has seen it in person, she absolutely loves it.

Hey, you forgot CGM. I have I/O interior with CGM and I love it. Have had nothing but compliments and don't regret it at all. Stick with your gut feeling and you won't be dissapointed.

its not a dumb question at all...i personally think the plastic panels on the doors and dash are way too gaudy and cheap looking but the seats look amazingly sexy...i havent seen the iom interior in person yet either but from the pictures it just looks like too much...maybe if it was leather and not a bright hard looking plastic it would look ALOT better but hey thats just my opinion and every is entitled to their own...if you like the iom interior deffinately go for it and like hylton said if its too much just swap out the panels...i think that would actually look really cool and different...and just for the record, what if you were driving a BMW with the bright red interior? you think any1 would look at that as unprofessional?

SIM/IO

Maybe these can help. I fell in love with this interior at the GM invitation car show in Philly.
