Pretty much every one has including me. When we get caught doing it we pay fines for it.

Hey I just got pulled over twice! By the same cop, in one day!!! I got pulled over the 1st time for window tint and got a $130 ticket for tint that I did not know the previous owner had on, then on the way back he thought I was another Camaro so he pulled me over for the same reason decided to not look dumb so he gave me a ticket for going 5 over. He even said "Oh I thought I was going to get another guy with tint"

Don't you have HUD? How do you get a ticket with HUD? If not, then my bad, lol.

Most cities have laws that specify speed limits for roads that do not have a sign - and ignorance of a law is not a defense. I would check to seek if where you got the ticket is covered under this type of statute. Good luck. May be easier to get a lawyer and plead down to a non-moving.

When I got a speeding ticket last year, I went to court for it. Either he showed up, or he didn't. Either way I'm paying court costs.
I was there an hour early, the first one in, and he was not there. They dismissed the charge. On my way out, I took the elevator down, and as the door opened.. I came face to face with the officer, smiled, and went home with a clean record. It's worth it to go to court and take your chances, unless you're tight on cash. |

Found this:
http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/4511.21v2 In part: (2) Twenty-five miles per hour in all other portions of a municipal corporation, except on state routes outside business districts, through highways outside business districts, and alleys; Not a lawyer, I just know that the normally the lack of a sign doesn't mean you can get off. However I did hear of a case when a speed limit sign did not meet the state minimum size requirement. Edit: I agree with above - worth it to fight it. |
