this car kinda pisses me off. first off its a gto under there. and second is the rims and brakes are hub caps. look at the discs, there is no caliper. lastly it was built by saleen, but i have no beef there. they work alot on custom cars. but make fords. WTF?!?

in other news i would still drive this car, and take it if it was offered to me

Since it's built by Saleen, we can always blame them for everything we don't like.

well.........that's cuz we had about 15 minutes to build two cars for the movie.

What would you have done?

I researched putting a set of the 'concept' wheels on both Bumblebees -- and then I got the cost for 8 custom made aluminum wheels --

...................and when they picked me up off the ground .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ....................

Cars in movies are usually abused........

I'd rather pay for easily made plastic wheelcovers -- than to have to sell off a state or two in order to afford the replacement wheels...........

as it stands, weren't the steel wheels and custom made hubcaps expensive enough? seems to me I remember us having a conversation about those wheel covers and huge steel rims and their value was pretty high, so I can only imagine what it would have cost to make real alloy replicas... besides, dont we want to keep the real wheels on the real Camaros and not on the GTO Camaros?

Don't recall where, but I remember reading that... I think it was 3 months that Saleen had to make 2 GTO's into concept Camaro's. I recall it taking 2 months to make the first one and the second was done in something like 3 weeks. Crazy to just "put'em together" in that kind of time! And they did all the body panels from just specs and measurements on paper, right?!

Besides the wheels, I don't know how anyone could tell the difference between the two (from the outside)...Bumblebee and the concept.

i can because of the calipers. thats really it tho. and the concepts are a little deeper i think. but i am also including the "brake disc" as part of the wheel.

Ok...I meant the wheel in general...all the parts including caliper and rotors. All good.

there are subtle differences... once you've been up close to the silver coupe and Bumblebee, you can see the differences... its hard to explain, but they're just two different sizes... to me, its like seeing identical twins: they both look the same until you get to know them... and then you learn the differences.

Should have passed the bill on to the movie studio....God knows thay made enough money to supply all of us with custom made aluminum wheels.
