I've done my entire roof, hood and trunk lid and it's held up incredibly well even thru the NJ winters with all the salt and crap. I don't want to beat a dead horse here but the trick it to peel the tape when the dip is still wet so ideally you want to lay that last coat then immediately start peeling the tape off at a 45 degree angle. Also, I wouldn't worry about this when doing small items like bowties or emblems but if you decided to do your roof or something much larger, what I do is after laying that last coat I lay 1 last coat where the tape and dip meet just to make sure that that is good and wet for peeling.

This is a video of a buddy and I doing his car. I made it with timelapse GoPro. I apologize about the few scenes skipping, I don't have a decent laptop to edit on.

It's been in the mid 90's in indiana and hard telling what the temp it is in the car with windows and sunroof closed but so far so good. Looks just as good as when I first did it.
