I agree I think the V-6 is an amazing value My previous Camaro was a V-8 and it didn't have half the horsepower of todays V-6 and now I'm starting to customize it starting with a ZL1 bumper conversion kit coming this week I can't wait to see what it's gonna look like!

I agree! I nearly got a Genesis Coupe over my base model Camaro, but Camaro's are just plain out SEXY! It was between '13 Camaro, '13 GC and '14 Mazda 6. So, I chose Camaro. The others came with all the bell and whistles though. I have to fix the Camaro up. Can't wait until I make it look like I want.

Really? What engine did it have in it that was less than +/- 160 HP? Not trying to be a wise guy, I just never knew Camaros ever came with wimpy V8s.

Well a little exaggerated, my 1991 Camaro RS with a 305 TBI came with 200 to 230 hp. Even the Z28 model with the 350 TBI came with 245 to 265 hp.

WTF? Is this the Camaro5 forum? I am just confused at this point.

If you believe that then buy a Mustang and move on.

I had a new 74 Camaro with a 350 in it that was rated at 145 HP.
Here is a picture of me with it the day I bought it.

i had a 1973 chevelle malibu 2 door with a 350, and it did 0 to 60 in like 4 days. it was the most slowest car i ever owned. my craftsman lawmower with the briggs engine i think puts out more hp than that 350 did.

If you think the 74 Camaro was bad here is what was available in the pitiful Mustang II that year.

I tested this one June 2nd
$31k v8 6m

I tested this one June 4th
$31k v6 auto(I hate driving automatics)

Guess which one I bought June 5th.

That's what I would base the award on. I don't care what the numbers say, what anyone else says. I know which one I loved and which one I hated.

I looked at the Genesis coupe, BMW, Subaru & Challenger; Mustang wasn't even an option for me. Then I bought my 2012 V6 M6 Camaro. I have had it for almost 2 years and still love driving it. I couldn't have made a better choice. I would be tired of the other cars by now and looking forward to a trade, but not with the Camaro.
