I had my local dealership take a look at removing the chrome and found there are holes where the strip clips into the fascia :(

Next step is to find out if the non-RS fascia fits an RS...anyone know? I assume it would depending on any differences between the size of the headlights.

The headlights are different, we finished making tint patterns for them last week. The HID headlights are smaller than the non-HID lights, they take different tint patterns. I think if you remove the chrome piece there will be a open area or visible holes left. We have made a pre-cut vinyl wrap for the chrome piece, we are having a customer testing one to make sure it will hold up long term. The vinyl was kinda tricky to install since the chrome piece is so thin.

Easy fix is to purchase a non RS version. It's funny, but for some reason the non RS 1LE looks better than any other package by far on the 2014. I think that's also why the Z/28 looks so good.

Lol yall are funny. I have a white rs and it looks just fine on this car in this color. Now other colors like red is a different story. But ya, it looks fine.
