For me OnStar is entirely too expensive considering the fact that I don't use my phone a lot. However, the thing I liked the most about OnStar is being able to press a button on the steering wheel and "talk" to tell the phone who I wanted to call. Seeing as how my TracFone has BlueTooth in it (and all of our Camaro's have BlueTooth as well), I can now make calls from my cell phone as if I was using OnStar, so the features I liked about OnStar...still work through my BlueTooth Cell Phone.
I don't get the email monthly reports on the condition of my vehicle though, or any of the other benefits, but they weren't worth the price I would have had to have paid for them either.

Yeah, it lowered my insurance as well. I did tell them I had it but I didn't. Figure the way the insurance companies lie to us about what they cover and then don't, what is good for the goose is good for the gander. Sauce for the gander....
